Getting Rides When You No Longer Drive
If your loved one lives in close proximity to MBTA stations/stops, they may be able to take advantage of senior discounts. The discounts is available for Massachusetts residents who are 65 or older. For more information, visit the MBTA website.
Available to metro-Boston residents who can’t ride public transportation due to various limitations. Before you can use THE RIDE, you must have an in-person interview to review eligibility. Visit THE RIDE website for more details.
Councils on Aging:
Check with your local council on aging or senior center to see if they offer help coordinating travel for seniors. Many have transportation services or volunteer driving programs available. Check the Massachusetts Council on Aging website for the location of your local Council on Aging.
