Town and City Programs for Seniors
Your local senior center (often called Council on Aging) is a great resource for many programs. Many offer computer classes, game groups, and community dinners. Some have wellness classes like yoga or meditation. And many even offer reduced prices or free trips to local attractions.
In addition, your local senior center may offer outreach services, nutrition information, and volunteer opportunities. To find out what your local senior center offers, visit the Massachusetts Council on Aging website.
Your local public library may have programs for seniors. Some have mail programs for people who are unable to leave their homes. They often also have an audiobook program those who are blind or visually-impaired. Contact your local library to see if they have programs such as these.
