Tufts Health Plan Senior Care Options (D-SNP) OTC Card
How Your OTC Benefit Works
Each calendar quarter, Tufts Health Plan Senior Care Options (D-SNP) members receive two separate amounts on your Instant Savings card:
• A Medicare allowance of $115 to spend on Medicare-approved over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and health-related items.
• A Medicaid allowance of $235 to spend on Medicaid-approved food, beverage, and personal care items.
Your balance does not carry over—Try to spend the full quarterly amount before the end of each quarter.
Don’t throw out your card—It will be reloaded at the start of the next calendar quarter.
For More Information
If you have any questions about using your OTC benefit, call Member Services at 1-855-670-5934 (TTY: 711), 8 a.m.–8 p.m., 7 days a week (Mon.–Fri. from Apr. 1–Sept. 30).
Your Instant Savings card can be used to purchase eligible items from participating retailers and plan-approved online stores. Quarterly credit of $115 is for the purchase of eligible Medicare-approved OTC items. Quarterly credit of $235 is for the purchase of eligible Medicaid-approved OTC items as well as eligible groceries. Unused balances at the end of a calendar quarter will not roll over to the next quarter. Under certain circumstances, items may be covered under your Medicare Part B or Part D benefit.
