How Your Tufts Medicare Preferred Over-the-Counter (OTC) Benefit Works
For 2026, HMO Smart Saver Rx and PPO RX members have access to savings on eligible over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and health-related items by using your OTC benefit.
Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO OTC Card
How Your OTC Benefit Works
At the beginning of each calendar quarter, your card is loaded with your OTC benefit amount.
Your balance does not carry over—try to spend the full quarterly amount before the end of each quarter.
Don’t throw out your card—it will be reloaded at the start of the next calendar quarter. (Note: If you were an Access PPO member in 2025 and will be a PPO RX member in 2026, you will receive a new OTC card to use in 2026. If you were an HMO Saver Rx member in 2025, you will receive a new OTC card to use in 2026 as a member of the HMO Smart Saver Rx plan. Please refer to your 2026 Annual Notice of Change, available at thpmp.org/documents, for more details.)
Your quarterly amount depends on the year and the plan you are enrolled in
