New look to text messages with improved features

In 2027, you’ll notice a new and enhanced text messaging experience. With more personalized and interactive messaging, you’ll receive helpful benefits and coverage information tailored to your needs. These personalized messages and reminders make it easier than ever to use your plan and manage your health.

What’s new?

  • New look — Beginning in January 2027, our text messages will have a different look.
  • New phone number — Text messages will be sent from 67377 and/or 1-844-565-2055, and will always identify Tufts Health Plan as the sender.
  • You can text us back — Our knowledgeable representatives will now be able to respond to questions you send by text, and help connect you with the information and support you need. (Please note:  A text message is not a secure channel. Avoid including personal or health information in your messages.)
  • More personalized — Our new text messages will be tailored to you and your plan with timely information to make it easier to use your plan benefits to manage your health.

What to expect

Examples of text messages you may receive include:

  • Information about your health plan benefits and how to get care.
  • Guidance on finding in-network providers and local community resources.
  • Reminders for annual wellness visits, preventive screenings and other no-cost services available to you.
  • Health tips, wellness tools and educational resources.
  • Information about resources, discounts and health programs that may benefit you.
  • Important updates and plan news.
  • Short surveys to help us better understand and meet your needs.

And much more! Look for text messages to begin in January 2027.

What to know

  • No signup is required.
  • Messages will be sent from 67377 and/or 1-844-565-2055 and will always identify Tufts Health Plan as the sender.
  • By sharing a phone number that can receive text messages, you will automatically receive texts from Tufts Health Plan about your plan and benefits.
  • You will automatically begin receiving our new text messages in January.
  • As always, receiving our text messages is optional.
  • Any previous choices you've made to opt out of text messages or calls will continue to be respected.
  • If you have previously unsubscribed from SMS communications and would like to re-enroll, text START to 67377.
  • If you wish to opt out of SMS communications, text STOP to 67377.
  • You can text ‘STOP’ to stop getting texts at any time.

Important: Text messaging is not a secure communication channel. Tufts Health Plan will not send protected health information (PHI) through text message. Please do not include personal, medical or health information in your text messages.
